Director of Trauma Therapy
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Pay Range: $80,000 – $85,000 (Commensurate with experience)

ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND
Resilience is dedicated to ending rape culture and empowering sexual assault survivors through advocacy, education, and healing. Since 1974, we have provided nonjudgmental crisis intervention, trauma therapy, and legal advocacy to over 2,000 survivors annually. We work to effect positive change in public attitudes and policies regarding sexual violence.

GENERAL ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Director of Trauma Therapy is a key Leadership Team member overseeing the development and evaluation of all therapeutic services. You will ensure access to diverse modalities—including crisis support, individual/group therapy, and wellness workshops—delivered in-person and virtually. This role balances strategic development with operational excellence to meet survivor needs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Leadership: Provide supervision to trauma therapists, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and best practices. Foster a collaborative environment and conduct regular performance evaluations.

Program Oversight: Monitor waitlists and client profiles; optimize staff and intern schedules to minimize access barriers and ensure caseload expectations are met.

Strategic Growth: Work with the COO to implement and evaluate programs that improve therapy outcomes and survivor access.

Intern Management: Support the Clinical Intern Supervisor to ensure a robust onsite intern program and provide supervisory support to interns.

Committee Leadership: Chair the Survivor Engagement Committee to integrate survivor voices into agency activism; co-chair the Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) committee.

Data & Compliance: Analyze service hours in EmpowerDB to track goals and ensure accurate data entry and funding compliance.

Direct Support: Facilitate one healing workshop per quarter and provide crisis intervention or safety planning for survivors as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Licensure: Master’s degree (LCSW/LCPC required); Doctorate or Social Work degree preferred. Must be eligible to provide clinical supervision.

Experience: 5–7 years as a clinician; 5+ years supervising trauma therapists.

Expertise: Deep knowledge of gender-based violence, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices.

Skills: Strong public speaking, executive functioning, and the ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.

Training: Completion of 40-hour sexual assault training within 90 days of hire.

Skills
