Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Supervisor with an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) credential to provide training and supervision to our externs in our training program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the treatment of substance use disorders, mental health counseling, and case management, with a passion for supervising clinical staff and ensuring the delivery of comprehensive evidence-based patient care. As Clinical Supervisor, you will oversee clinical operations, provide direct supervision to a team of externs, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards while fostering a supportive environment for both staff and patients.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision and mentorship to students and clinicians, supporting their professional development and ensuring compliance with NYS OASAS requirements.
Oversee clinical assessments, treatment planning, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness within electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Lead individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), DBT, motivational interviewing, CRAFT, MBT and other techniques where appropriate.
Manage crisis intervention efforts, including handling urgent cases related to mental health crises, substance use emergencies, or reportable incidents that arise.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations for diverse patient populations, including patients with co-occurring SUD, trauma and other mental conditions.
Ensure all patient care activities comply with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records and sensitive information.
Facilitate case management activities by coordinating care across home, community settings, hospitals, and other healthcare providers to promote holistic recovery.
Promote a positive team environment that encourages collaboration among clinicians while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Skills
Valid NYS LCSW license and supervisory experience required. SIFI certification required (may be obtained on-site). Extensive experience in SUD evaluation/treatment, crisis management, and trauma or co-occurring disorders. Strong EMR proficiency, leadership, and clinical supervision skills. Skilled in diagnostic evaluations, intakes, and effective, detail-oriented communication.
