Job Information

Position Summary
Under general direction, participates, leads and oversees activities and assigned strategies, to ensure efficient operation of housing services programs. Leads and directs staff responsible for clerical and technical duties pertaining to the eligibility, occupancy and service provision of Housing Services Programs.
CLASSIFICATION CHARACTERISTICS
Portability
The supervisor responsible for Portability will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of staff managing all incoming and outgoing Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) portability activities. Will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HUD regulations, PIH Notices, and HACSB policies; overseeing accurate billing, receivables management, monthly reconciliations, and maintaining effective communication with partner Housing Authorities to support fiscal accountability and timely case processing. Collaborates with Finance, Housing Services Management and external partners to resolve issues and strengthen overall program effectiveness.
Day-to-Day Glimpse: The Portability Supervisor oversees daily operations of incoming and outgoing Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) portability activities. This role ensures timely processing, regulatory compliance, accurate billing, and effective coordination with external Public Housing Authorities (PHAs).This position requires strong knowledge of HCV portability regulations, attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
