Position Summary
The Licensed* Mental Health Therapist at K&S Therapeutic Services provides individual and family therapy to children, teens, adults, and families using culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate care. This role involves clinical documentation, active collaboration with the clinical team, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive, team-oriented environment.

*This position is open to Pre-licensed therapists with 1,500 or more hours towards licensure.

Essential Responsibilities
-Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect client needs and goals
-Provide psychotherapy to a diverse caseload, including children and adolescents using play-based and expressive modalities
-Offer adult therapy services for individuals dealing with anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and stress-related concerns
-Provide family therapy and/or parent coaching to support emotional regulation, communication, and relational growth
-Maintain accurate, timely, and ethically compliant clinical documentation
-Collaborate with families, schools, community providers, and team members to support client care
-Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and training opportunities
-Uphold professional boundaries and confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA and California law
-Model and uphold the values of K&S Therapeutic ------
-Services through client interactions, teamwork, and ethical decision-making

Qualifications
-Current, active license/registration in California as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC
-Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, - ----
-Clinical Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or a related field
-Experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families
-Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, child development, and evidence-based interventions
-Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
-Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail
-Commitment to culturally responsive and affirming therapeutic practices

Skills
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
-Training or certification in EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, somatic approaches, or other evidence-based modalities
-Experience with play therapy or expressive arts
-Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms


Notes
Work Expectations
-Maintain agreed-upon weekly caseload (based on part-time/full-time status)
-Complete documentation within 48 hours of service delivery
-Attend and participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities
