Founded in 2015, the Therapeutic Play Foundation (TPF) is a 501(C)3 nonprofit focusing on building resilience in family systems to address the trauma symptoms occurring primarily in Black families - often as a direct result of long-term racial and systemic stress. TPF's mission is to build group esteem and collective liberation in under-resourced communities to empower a healthier, more resilient world through empowerment, education, mindfulness, art, and play. Our target population is primarily Black families residing in the San Gabriel Valley and greater Los Angeles County. TPF offers culturally inclusive services, including mental health therapy, occupational therapy, group therapy, parenting workshops, case management, yoga/wellness services, and doula services.
