Company Information
The PAD Initiative works to reduce arrest and incarceration of people experiencing extreme poverty, problematic substance use, or mental health concerns, and increase the accessibility of supportive services in Atlanta and Fulton County.

Since 2017, PAD has diverted over 200 people from local jails and offered access to housing, mental health and substance use recovery support, employment and income benefits, while addressing legal issues and barriers to stability.

It is the policy of PAD to provide its employees with various employee benefits. The following descriptions are only a summary of the available benefits.

PAD offers the following group benefit plans to all full-time employees. Unless otherwise noted, PAD covers the premium cost at 100% of the following benefits.
•        Health Insurance (employee premium covered 100% by employer; dependent premium covered at 25% by employer)
•        Vision Insurance (employee premium covered 100% by employer; dependent premium covered at 25% by employer)
•        Dental Insurance (employee premium covered 100% by employer; dependent premium covered at 25% by employer)
•        Short-Term Disability
•        Long-Term Disability
•        Life Insurance

Eligibility for these group benefit plans will depend upon the specific requirements of each benefit plan.

PAD Observed Holidays and Paid Time Off
PAD currently observes the same paid holidays as the City of Atlanta. These typically include.
•        New Year’s Day
•        Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

•        Thanksgiving
•        Day after Thanksgiving
•        Christmas Eve
•        Christmas Day
•        New Year’s Eve

Summer & Winter Recess - PAD provides two annual paid recesses, for which all full-time employees will receive their regular pay while the office is closed and all business activities are suspended. PAD typically closes the office for one week in the summer and for two weeks at the end of the calendar year. The dates for each recess will be determined and communicated to all employees no less than three months before the scheduled break. PAD retains the right to cancel these recesses due to time or budget constraints, or for other reasons.
Personal Days - PAD provides full-time employees with 6 Personal Days each year. Personal Days may also be used during an employee’s own illness or injury, to care for an ill family member, death in the family, or for medical, legal, or other personal business appointments which can only be scheduled during business hours
Vacation - The vacation allowance is provided on an annual basis for all full-time employees, following an initial 90-day probationary period. The allowance is awarded after the anniversary of hire for subsequent years. The schedule for vacation time allowance is below.
•        First year of employment: 10 days
•        Year 2-5 of employment: 15 days
•        Year 6 and beyond: 20 days
