Neighborhood Self Help by Older Persons Project, Inc. (SHOPP) is a non-profit multi-service agency serving vulnerable older adults living in Community Boards 1 -12 in The Bronx. SHOPP’s mission “Helping Older Adults to Help Themselves” is based on the philosophy of self-help and mutual assistance. SHOPP professional staff assists Bronx vulnerable older adults to improve their capacity to deal with the physical, emotional, social and financial challenges they encounter as they age. SHOPP programs consists of three Senior Centers, Case Management, Senior Network Access Program, Senior Network Group Work Program, NORC program, NY Connects and an Elder Abuse & Crime Victims Program.
