Description
Licensed Social Workers serve as members of interdisciplinary treatment teams providing the full range of social work services to individuals in a variety of settings. As a Licensed Social Worker, you would be required to handle more complex issues and to exercise a high level of independent professional judgment throughout the course of your activities.This position is in the Brooklyn Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic. The individual will serve as the primary therapist for a caseload of between 30 and 40 children. Work schedule includes Saturday and weekday evening hours. This clinic presently employs 4 full-time therapists, 3 full-time psychiatrists and one nurse. The environment is collegial, and all clinicians address client’s needs via a team approach. Candidates must be licensed in NY State (LMSW or LCSW) and have at least one year of experience providing psychotherapy services.

Ability to manage a caseload of between 30 and 40 clients Experience with various methods of conducting psychotherapy, i.e. CBT, DBT, trauma-focused Ability to work with children exhibiting a higher degree of acuity Desire to work in a collaborative environment Desire to work in an environment sensitive to cultural and socio-economic impacts Commitment to meeting the needs of an underserved population

Notes

NYCCC offers multiple paid trainings each year to further professional development. Starting salary of $70,923 includes automatic annual increments to a "job-rate" of $89,166.
