Employment Support Professional/Driver
8:30 A to 3:30 P Monday - Friday
Employment Support Professional/Driver, DVR, is responsible for transportation of goods for the production workshop/contract work. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining agency vehicles assigned to the workshop. Travel will be required for this position. Employment Support Professional/Driver is responsible for inventory and supplies, shipping and receiving. The incumbent is part of a team that completes attendance, prepares bills of lading, productivity and inventory counts for customers, and other required documentation relevant to production. The incumbent implements and facilitates service plans, teaches and monitors skills development, provides support and mentoring for all service recipients through a person centered approach. The incumbent considers the unique characteristics and needs of the individual as expressed by the individual and others who know the person, such as family, friends, service providers, etc. The incumbent ensures services are provided in a non-intrusive manner, and service recipient is included in problem-solving and decision-making. The incumbent is to maintain a positive, healthy and stimulating environment for service recipients and assures adequate supervision at all times.
Skills: This position requires Ability to use Windows software, Ability to use a data entry software such as Therap, Ability to complete Shift and Individual Served ISP Data entry in web based electronic platform. Willing and able to learn all areas of support, service and function outlined herein; having some familiarity, knowledge or experience in Social Supports Services/Individuals with developmental disabilities, Vocational training supports or Day Habilitation Supports. Demonstrate ability to relocate contract work to designated areas. Demonstrate ability to self-manage day to day tasks with minimal direct supervision. Demonstrate ability to use movable dock plates, pallet jacks (power or manual), and other equipment used in the moving and storing of materials. Demonstrate ability to load and unload materials. Must be able to successfully complete all required training programs and be able to follow directions and complete all assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications: Associate Degree in a human service field preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be 18 years of age or older. Willing to learn or some familiarity, knowledge or experience in Vocational supports, Day Habilitation and/or Social Supports Services for Individuals with developmental disabilities. Operating a manual or electric pallet jack; Box Truck driving experience required; Requires a Valid New Jersey driver’s license (CDL not required) and abstract (not to exceed 5 points), and ability to meet agency insurability requirements. Complete State/Federal Criminal Background checks and Central Registry checks.
