Assistant Director, Residential Services
Salary: $66,239
The Arc of Union County, Inc. is a non-profit, 501c(3) organization headquartered in Springfield, NJ, dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc serves more than 1,000 adults and children each month from the 21 towns in Union County, as well as the greater Northern and Central NJ counties.
Summary: Responsible for the overall management and supervision of assigned programs, the quality of the service delivered, and responsible for providing programmatic direction and leadership. Assembling staffing teams and assuring the development of staff competencies. Supervisory evaluations and personnel actions. On-Call for all assigned programs, and responsible for the direct supervision of Supervisors.
Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in Windows software, Ability to use a data entry software such as Therap. Ability to make managerial decisions and taking action; ability to utilize spreadsheets, audit invoices, submit invoices, review expense reports and understand and apply matrices for service recipient attendance, roster management, revenue, staffing ratios, and work force/staffing management relative to budget; knowledgeable of Fee for Service model system. Requires excellent interpersonal and conceptual skills, strong management, leadership, planning and communication skills. ability to manage information effectively; Knowledgeable on staffing function and employment related legislations. Ability to diagnose and resolve problems, inspire and provide guidance to supervisors and work with various disciplines. Ability to make managerial decisions and taking action. Minimum 5 years of successful middle level to upper management supervisory, programmatic, operations and administrative experience required. Minimum of five years of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, managing a residential facility serving individuals with intellectual disabilities and supervisory responsibilities with proven success. Bachelor Degree required in related field; Master preferred. Full knowledge and proficiency in all standards governing services including but not limited to Community Care Waiver, Center for Medicaid Services, Office of Licensing.
