Supervisor, Residential Services
Salary: $45,000
The Arc of Union County, Inc. is a non-profit, 501c (3) organization headquartered in Springfield, NJ, dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc serves more than 1,000 adults and children each month from the 21 towns in Union County, as well as the greater Northern and Central NJ counties.
Summary: Supervisor, Residential is responsible to assure the delivery of quality person centered services to all assigned service recipients in accordance with the Agency’s goals of “Person Centered Planning” and within the guidelines of all Agency and DDD policies and procedures. Provide a safe, secure, and dependable support and assistance in areas that are necessary for service recipients to achieve full social inclusion, independence, personal and economic well-being as approved by the Individual Service Plan (ISP). Facilitate and ensure full social inclusion, independence, and personal and economic well-being of service recipients. The Supervisor, Residential will assure Residential Support staff development as well as assuring staff compliance with agency, DDD, Licensing, CARF, and other applicable regulations, policies and procedures. The Supervisor, Residential will maintain the residence in acceptable practice and appropriate condition at all times for full licensing certification by the state Office of Licensing, City Fire Safety Certification and full accreditation by CARF. On-Call for the assigned programs. Responsible for building a staffing team, staff supervision including Assistant Supervisors, Residential and Residential Support Professional assigned to their program, the evaluation of staff and the recommendation and execution of personnel actions when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in Windows software, Ability to use a data entry software such as Therap. Requires excellent interpersonal and conceptual skills. Strong management, leadership, planning and communication skills required. Demonstrate ability to manage information effectively. Ability to motivate staff, take responsibility for supervisory actions and establish quality controls. Knowledge of Fee for Service model system required. Must have basic math and computer skills. Minimum of three-year supervisory experience, plus three years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Demonstration of a thorough understanding of knowledge, abilities and skills outlined above. Flexibility, and Demonstrated ability to thrive and perform in an ever-changing, fast paced and demanding environment. Bachelor degree required, Bachelor in related field preferred.
