Description
Sign-on bonus: $1000 Job Summary: Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment Services are goal-directed supports and solution-focused interventions intended to address challenges associated with a behavioral health need and to achieve identified goals or objectives as set forth in the child’s treatment plan.Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Intensive Interventions (Counseling):These interventions engage the child/youth and family/caregiver in ways that support the everyday application of treatment methods as described in the child’s/youth’s treatment plan. 2. Crisis Avoidance (Counseling): It is an intervention to assist the child and family in developing the capacity to prevent a crisis episode or the capacity to reduce the severity of a crisis episode should one occur. 3. Intermediate Term Crisis Management (Counseling):It is also intended for children in need of longer-term crisis management services after having received a crisis intervention service such as, mobile crisis or ER. 4. Rehabilitative Psychoeducation: Educating the child/youth and family members or other collaterals to identify strategies or treatment options with the goal of minimizing the negative effects of symptoms. 5. Strengths Based Service Planning: Assisting the child/youth and family members or other collaterals with identifying strengths and needs. 6. Rehabilitative Supports: Restoration, rehabilitation, and support to minimize the negative effects of behavioral health symptoms or emotional disturbances.

Skills
Education & Experience Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services, plus one year of applicable experience or who have been certified in an Evidenced Based Practice OR Bachelor’s degree and three years applicable experience in children’s mental health, addiction, and/or foster care/

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 10 pounds. Must be able to use a computer, type and answer phone
