The Access Intake Specialist ensures accurate assessment and placement of referrals to produce positive outcomes of treatment for patients served in the timeliest manner possible and within the most efficient utilization of available resources. This position conducts referral screening, patient admission, coordination and transitions of care, liaison with county or state referral sources, community outreach, and coordination of preauthorization processes to ensure a comprehensive ability to collect for services rendered. This role is responsible for appropriate clinical assessment of referrals and providing clinical consultation, as needed, to the Access department and Kerr programs.

- Masters Degree in social work, counseling psychology, child and family therapy, or the like from an accredited college or university that meets the requirement for Oregon licensure in clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, or professional counseling
- Minimum two years experience working with children and adolescents at higher levels of care, providing therapy, care coordination, and, utilization review
- Specialized knowledge and skills to provide appropriate assessment and care based on the age, growth, and development of children served.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven time management, organizational, decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Eligibility for relevant clinical licensure in the State of Oregon

- At least one year of experience with utilization management and medical authorizations
- Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
- Knowledge of Lean and other quality assurance practices in the workplace
- Knowledge of insurance entities and authorizations, Oregon's Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs), and mental health programs and systems in Oregon and Washington
