Homelessness and Whole Person Care Division Director
Annual salary range: $120,931.00 to $148,366.00

The Division Director is responsible for overall operations of the Whole Person Care Division that coordinates care and shares data across housing, healthcare, mental and behavioral health, and social services with a focus on people experiencing homelessness. The Division Director will lead a team of twelve staff and manage numerous service contracts with community partners to deliver innovative services to the county’s most vulnerable residents.

The ideal candidate is conversant with Whole Person Care (WPC), CalAIM, and the coordination of health, behavioral health, and social services in a client-centered manner with the goals of improved health outcomes and more efficient and effective use of resources. The ideal candidate understands the Medi-Cal managed care system in California. The candidate also has a good understanding of homelessness and housing first principles. Understanding homelessness, COVID-19 (and its affects on our key clients), and mental health issues are top priorities of this position. The ideal candidate is familiar with the political complexities that arise when addressing these issues and understands the tapestry of sectors addressing them through mental health, behavioral health, criminal justice, and social services. Finally, the Division Director needs to be an experienced administrator. It is expected that the selected candidate can quickly move the Division to an enhanced care management model. This person should be extremely comfortable with both elected and appointed officials in the County and adept at building coalitions and working with core constituencies to expand our reach and service network. Any combination of education and experience that would provide the knowledge and skills necessary to lead a highly complex and technical field for Health and Human Services. Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in public health administration, social sciences or a related field, and four years of experience to the assignment including one year of supervisory experience.
