The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the agency, cash flow planning, preparing and reviewing budgets and tracking operational metrics (KPIs.) To be successful in this role, you must have extensive experience working with multiple funding sources including government grants. You should have in-depth knowledge of risk management methods and the ability to create forecasting models. Responsibilities also include the generation of accurate internal and external financials, tax, cost and other reports. This position reports to regulatory agencies and funding sources on the sources and uses of agency funds and supplies other such information as may be needed or desired.

The Chief Financial Officer advises the President/CEO, Executive Team and Program Managers on the financial implications of proposed programs, ventures and collaborations; performs risk assessments; and recommends strategies to maximize opportunities and limit risks.

Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential required.
Minimum of 5 years’ managing multiple grants and other funding sources.
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive supervisory and management experience in accounting required, within the nonprofit sector.
Operating knowledge of non-profit accounting systems, Financial Edge accounting system and database preferred.
