Reynolds Home will employ a Family/Outreach Worker to provide case work and supportive services to residents of Reynolds Home-Moving Forward Program. Bi-lingual English/Spanish fluency is desirable. This is a salaried position with flexible scheduling, minimum of 40 hrs. per week. The role of the Family Worker is to take a special interest in the whole world of each family’s needs: physical, mental, social/emotional, developmental and educational. The major goal is to contribute significantly to the family’s wellness, moving from trauma and emotional and physical challenges to a “better place” on the wellness continuum. Specifically, the worker will enable the family to move from the emergency shelter to independent living within a specified period of time. Reynolds Home’s program requires the case worker to visit each family in their new home within a month after they have transitioned. These visits will focus on the family’s continuing well-being and unforeseen challenges. Reports to the Administrative Team for casework direction. Reports to the Assistant Director for daily duties and schedule.

All employees are vaccinated and follow the CDCs rules on masks, hand washing, and social distance when feasible. The Home is sanitized regularly and on quasi lockdown for the residents, except for work, school and daycare. No other persons are allowed into the Home until temperature and testing screens are verified.

English and Spanish fluency
Competency in Microsoft Office
Previous experience a plus
Good time and management skills to get the job done in a short time
Knowledge of entitlement programs and Texas benefits.

The focus of this job in to help homeless mothers to access jobs, save their money and enter into affordable housing. It focuses primarily on resident families, but includes an outreach component that follows each transitioned family to assess their needs while becoming independent. Care and concern are qualities we value in dealing with homeless families. Loving perseverance helps overcome challenges along the way.
