Description
True Recovery/Behavioral Health is a dynamic behavioral health care organization and is one of the top providers of substance abuse and mental health treatment services in Orange County, CA. We are seeking: an experienced, communicative, and compassionate Licensed Therapist to join our team and support the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our clients. • Will work directly with clients to actively listen to problems and concerns and suggest healthy and productive ways of coping with those issues. • Provide individual, group and family therapy, the Therapist also develops, implements, presents, evaluates, and revises treatment plans; facilitates/presents educational programs to participants; and participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning and client-centered care and treatment. • Orient new participants to the expectations of, services offered by, and treatment plan s/he will work towards while at True Behavioral Health. • Liaison with family, friends, partners, and outside resources to create a supportive environment and ensure continuity of care. • Educate the participants on behavioral health, promoting healthy resources and daily skills training to provide highest quality person-centered care. • Work closely with other members of the clinical team in addressing daily concerns, intervening if crisis intervention is required, and offering additional directives for care to provide highest quality person-centered care. • Oversee the daily treatment experience of each of his/her clients. • Conduct mental status examinations. • Provide appropriate diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on a review of the client’s history, signs, and symptoms. • Provide individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as needed. • Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversity of clients and staff. • Crisis intervention services, including 5150 determinations. • Complete Utilizations Review forms as required. • Other duties as required. • Cultural Competency with First Responder Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues.

Skills
• Minimum of two years’ experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from mental illness and/or substance abuse. • EMDR certification is preferred and Cultural Competency with First Responder population is necessary. • Masters or Doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or social science (Therapist). • Licensed with The California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC; or by the Board of Psychology as a Licensed Psychologist.

Notes
• Knowledge of the philosophy and approach of the 12-step model of recovery (AA, CA, NA, Alanon). • Current First Aid/CPR certification. • Health Screen and Current TB Negative Result. • Criminal Background Check Clearance.
