Position Function: Provides direct therapeutic services in order to insure the successful implementation of the client’s individual treatment plan
Essential Job Functions:
-Provides direct service delivery of individual psychotherapy to assigned clients in accordance with the individual treatment plan.
-Provides direct service delivery of family therapy at the agency, home and /or community setting in accordance with the treatment plan.
-Provides direct services delivery of group therapy to assigned client groups.
-Directly implements components of the treatment plan developed in conjunction with the treatment team, as appropriate.
-Provides consultation regarding client’s mental health needs and progress to other treatment team members to insure the client’s successful participation in the full treatment program, as specified in the Treatment Plan.
-Completes all required documentation in timely fashion and in required formats, including, but not limited to, progress notes and treatment progress summaries.
-Serves as a member of the treatment team. Attends Treatment reviews of assigned clients, provides input into recommendations for ongoing Treatment Planning.
-Maintains ongoing communication with other agency staff who works with the client and family regarding progress of client on Treatment Plan goals.
-Provides emergency evaluation and intervention when critical situations arises requiring such interventions, as assigned by the Director of Campus Clinical Services.
-Participates in clinical supervision and staffing training programs, as assigned.
-Is available for clinical on-call rotation as assigned by Director of Campus Clinical Services.
-Carries out all other duties assigned by program supervisor to insure successful implantation of the client’s Treatment Plan.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree in a mental health field with at least one (1) year of experience in a child and adolescent mental health or chemical dependency setting, child welfare or juvenile justice setting or educational setting. It is preferable that the Therapist be a licensed mental health professional.
