You expect your employer to legally hire you as an employee with health insurance options, worker's comp and malpractice coverage, CEU programs, SIMPLE IRA with matching, etc. You want help with billing and dealing with insurance contracting and such. For those of you coming from County / DMH/ Medi-cal (or similarly structured, stressful programs), this is the exact opposite.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

§ Active, unrestricted license (LCSW, LMFT) in the State of California (must be fully licensed).

§ Available to hold and average over 25+ indiv patient sessions, plus 1 or 2 groups per week.

Other Qualification Preferences:

Hours include some nights and/or weekends but with flexibility. You help craft this.

Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to sessions is required.

Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the

services performed for Serene Pathways Counseling.

Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients.

Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.

Timely complete written records.

Charge and collect payments from clients if necessary.

Attend mandatory monthly staff meeting / training as directed by Serene Pathways Counseling.

Other duties which may by assigned by Serene Pathways Counseling.
