Description
The Help Group is seeking a dynamic, energetic and experienced Program Director to join our team! Project Six/The Commons is an STRTP Adolescent Residential Facility located in Van Nuys. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct and evaluate the facility within the limits of the functions and policies established by Project Six Direct supervisors overseeing direct care staff and Residential Therapists Serve as Head of Mental Health for Project Six to ensure quality, timeliness, accuracy and responsiveness of mental health services at Project Six Organize the work of the facility and delegate responsibilities to staff Oversee and approve the social work functions of the Residential Therapists Assess the facility’s operations and program, report to the Director of Residential Treatment and make recommendations to address identified problems In collaboration with the Human Resources Department, recruit, appoint, evaluate and terminate staff Assist in developing a plan for orientation, development and training of staff in accordance with Title 22 regulations In consultation with the Director of Residential Treatment, Vice President of Programs and COO, make decisions about the admission of each youth into the STRTP Review complaints made by youth or their authorized representative(s) as specified in Title 22, and determine appropriate actions to be taken to address complaint. Provide quarterly report to the Vice President of Programs for The Help Group Maintain a database of critical incidents and report information quarterly to the Director of Residential Treatment and Vice President of Programs of The Help Group Develop written policies, procedures and practices for continuous quality improvement as specified in Title 22 Develop, implement and evaluate the continuous quality improvement plan for the social work and mental health functions of Project Six Observe and interact with staff, youth and other individuals, as necessary, to ensure the quality of care and program services Apply the “Reasonable and Prudent Parenting Standard” to decisions involving the participation of a resident in age or developmentally appropriate activities in accordance with rules, laws and policies and procedures when present Serve as the acting Facility Administrator in the event of an absence of the assigned Facility Administrator Qualified applicants must also have a valid California Driver License, at least of 3 years’ driving experience, a clean driving record and be insurable for driving by the agency’s insurance company

Skills
Must hold a California license as Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker or MFT. Two years' experience required in a supervisory capacity with an adolescent psychiatric population. At least one year of experience designing, implementing and evaluating programs. A strong background in consultation and staff development is needed, as well as a license to provide clinical supervision to licensed or license-seeking mental health providers.
