Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Victim Advocate responsibilities include:
- Provide assistance to victims of crime and witnesses as required to mitigate the impact of the victimization, case investigation, and/or the court appearance.

Victim Advocate requirements include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral science, criminal justice, or related field. Basic knowledge of the criminal justice system and victimology
- 1-2 years of related experience working with people in a position involving the provision of victim services, peer counseling, equivalent social skills, and program administration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail - Effective time-management skills to work under pressure, balance competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to make frequent changes to routine and pace of activity due to unpredictable demands, without loss of efficiency or composure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and to be sensitive to the needs of special populations
- Valid California driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and a satisfactory driving record
- Bilingual English/Vietnamese or English/Spanish required
