Description
Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) and the Berkshire Public Health Alliance (BPHA) are looking for an experienced social worker to work with various community organizations, families, and individuals in Berkshire Country, Massachusetts. Specific tasks may include conducting assessments, developing preliminary service plans, providing crisis intervention on a short-term basis, and leading community groups. This is a full-time, off-site, fully benefitted position.


A LSCW or LISCW and at least 2 years of professional experience in social work, community organizing, community outreach, or a related field are strongly preferred. A LMHC with the appropriate education and experience will be considered. Exceptional candidates with LSW or LSWA and 8 years of relevant experience may be considered.

This is a hybrid position requiring remote work and travel throughout Berkshire County to attend meetings or other scheduled events and engage with the public. The Community Social Worker may work a flexible schedule provided core hours are covered, and the 35-hour-a-week minimum is maintained. Nights and weekends are occasionally required. The starting pay range for this position is $33.90 - $39.45 per hour. Full-time employment includes an attractive benefits package.

Must have access to a vehicle and the ability to travel throughout Berkshire County at all times of the year to attend meetings, events, and trainings, as well as meet with residents and support Boards of Health in identifying health service needs in the county.
