As the Peer Partner you will provide case management, mental health, and crisis interventions as needed and collaborate with the MRT and START teams to complete risk screening and safety planning. The Peer Partner’s personal experience as a consumer of mental health services is critical to building rapport and trust with youth, and advocating for them as you provide services in the community, office, their home, school, and other locations where the youth needs support.

Responsabilities
Respond in-person to crises in the community alongside a Clinician to complete risk screenings and safety planning
Provide guidance, coaching, and support for youth or any other natural supports
Help youth to build a general understanding and have a voice in navigating the systems they are involved in
Use knowledge of community resources, school systems or other mental health services to help youth identify and connect to a family safety network and/or a natural support team in the community.
Support youth in completing action steps identified by the youth and the treatment team, which may relate to education, employment, housing, benefits, etc.
Participate in weekly program and agency supervisions, meetings, and trainings.   
Maintain documentation and paperwork including but not limited to, mental health notes, timecard, and expense reports.
Maintain a flexible schedule, that may include nights and weekends.
Qualifications
Required:
Personal experience with relevant systems (i.e. Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice, Mental Health, Special Education, etc.)
Minimum High School diploma
Must be 21 years of age or older
Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other state or federal requirements
Own vehicle & valid Washington driver's license and insurability by Seneca's automobile insurance carrier
Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations
Preferred:
Experience or interest in working with youth and families
Strong writing and organizational skills
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Starting at $21.00- $23.50 per hour. Effective July 9th: This position will start at $23.69 - 26.19 per hour
Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
