JOB SUMMARY: The Fee for Service Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical services to individuals at the Mental Health outpatient clinic. The Consultant will conduct clinical services schedule to be determined by the consultant, during clinic hours. (At least 10 hours a week) (Sessions may be completed remotely). Will receive weekly supervision towards clinical hours.

Duties

Work with clients and their families on treatment issues.
Conduct assessment/reassessments of client service needs and priorities every 90 days.
Develop (in conjunction with client) appropriate treatment plans based on assessment.
Case conferencing with mental health providers to determine goals/objectives, activities and who will perform needed tasks related to mental health issues for client and family
Provide individual/group therapy
Administer appropriate behavioral interventions as needed (CBT, Seeking Safety, motivational interviewing etc.)
Maintain accurate and updated records in accordance with the program's policies and procedures.
Crisis intervention (aggressive behavior; suicide threats, ideation; domestic violence) work with clients who are experiencing domestic violence (DV) or have a history of DV, and/or who have a co-occurring mental illness, life trauma or chronic conditions and/or substance abuse issues.
Other related duties
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Strong individual and group counseling skills.
Working experience in best practices-Motivational Interviewing etc.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to accurately document notes.
Good organization skills.
WORK EXPERIENCES

MINIMUM: One (1) year post-graduate experience working with populations that have a history of substance use, D.V issues, Criminal Justice, mental illness, chronic homelessness, and/or HIV/AIDS. Education, training or experience in substance abuse and its treatment.
Clinical internships provided to similar population can be counted towards the post graduate experience- if it can be documented.
Direct experience working in a mental health clinic preferred
EDUCATION:

MINIMUM: Master’s in social work or related field.
