Description
Collaborates as a member of the Crisis Intervention Team, providing in-home crisis intervention services to families with a child at risk of psychiatric hospitalization. Each HBCI worker is responsible for providing 9-15 visits a week, with a caseload of no less than 3 families. Duties are carried out under the direction of the Program Supervisor. The Position requires a flexible work schedule (35 hours a week). Crisis Worker must be available via cell phone on a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day a week basis

Skills
1. Knowledge of social work principles, practice, and methodology. 2. Considerable knowledge of child behavior, group and family behavior and the interrelationships between social, economic, and psychological factors. 3. Ability to work effectively with children and families and aid them to grow and adjust to their specific problems. 4. Valid driver’s license. 5. Access to a personal vehicle.
