Ready to change the future for babies, young children and their families? So are we.
The Washington Association for Infant Mental Health (WA-AIMH) is excited to partner with a visionary, inspirational leader who will help us develop and implement mission-driven, anti-racist professional development programs and services to support infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH) providers in Washington State.

Our ideal candidate is ready to raise the Association’s profile, grow its capacity, and broaden its mission impact while navigating organizational change and driving business strategy to scale sustainability. You bring a deep and broad understanding of the IECMH workforce, systems of care, and policies in Washington State. You are ready to co-create and advance WA-AIM’s leadership role in the statewide integration and organization of programs and policies for IECMH workforce preparation. Grounded in IECMH knowledge and expertise, you believe in adult learning and a growth mindset.

Led by an equity North Star, you recognize and seek to dismantle the effects of historic and systemic racism that have impacted this workforce as well as the babies, young children and families who have been historically and are currently underserved.

Relationships are at the heart and core of our work. It’s crucial that our next leader is a compassionate, personable and skilled relationship builder who can genuinely connect with people of diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. Your desire and ability to engage, develop and retain team members is evident. And you bring humility to your journey of personal growth in a complex, multi-cultural world.

We intentionally and actively encourage candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and members of the LGBTQ+IA Two Spirit community, people who are differently abled, immigrants, and veterans. We also have a wide lens on the educational and work backgrounds of candidates and encourage the interest of those with experience in clinical or allied fields like home visiting, early learning, program administrators, and/or local and state government.

We recognize and honor the value of lived experiences as well as how important it is for our board, staff, programs and services to reflect the diversity of our community. Our success depends on creating an organization that includes people from different backgrounds and experiences who can elevate assumptions and ideas with fresh perspectives.
We're dedicated to hiring the whole human, not just a resume.
Even if you don't think you meet all the requirements, we invite you to apply.

Please email your cover letter & resume to ExecSearch@wa-aimh.org. We accept emailed applications only, and Incomplete applications will not be considered. In your cover letter, please share why you are interested in this job, and what you will uniquely bring as the next leader to our Association.
The position is open until filled. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt, full consideration given to applications received by August 31, 2022. Interviewing begins in mid-September 2022
