The WJCS Early Childhood team is searching for a full time, 35 hours per week, Assistant Director of the ParentChild+ Home Visiting Program. ParentChild+ is an international early learning program that supports parents of children ages 16 months to 3 years old as their child’s first and most important teacher. It uses a strengths-based model that offers biweekly home visits from an Early Learning Specialist to under resourced families in 6 communities in Westchester. The program operates through a racial equity lens and places a strong emphasis on cultural humility.
Responsibilities include providing supervision, leadership and oversight to the ParentChild+ professional team, coordinating home visiting in one community, and serving as the OCFS Program Manager, providing management and support for CFTSS evaluations, documentation and billing, developing strong relationships with community partners, offering behavior interventions for families, writing program reports and providing weekly trainings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Early Childhood Development, and Developmentally Appropriate Practice, strong managerial skills and experience in program planning, implementation, supervision and documentation, the ability to work with diverse, multicultural populations and groups, experience supervising staff in the field of early childhood, preferably in home-based settings. At a minimum, the ideal candidate must have an MSW and be willing and able to travel to multiple sites and conduct home visits as necessary. LMSW highly preferred. Proficiency in Spanish preferred. Certification to supervise BSW and MSW interns preferred.
