Division: Warrenville Youth & Family Services (WYFS)
WYFS is a multi-purpose community resource center serving the residents of the Warrenville area. Programs include the Community Counseling Center, Case Management Assistance, Mentoring, and Quest - an after-school/summer-school program for middle school aged youth.
Job Responsibilities: The Bilingual Case Manager and Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for the implementation of case management services to Warrenville clients who are in crisis or seeking to improve their situations as well as actively participating in community engagement activities to promote services in the community, generate resource referrals and support community partnerships. Direct services include case management activities that assist individuals and families, stabilize their immediate crisis, and improve their life situations, referral and advocacy for clients, managing client emergency funds, assisting in community events and special projects and work with community partners. In addition, the Bilingual Case Manager and Community Engagement Specialist will have a leadership role on a community advisory committee which exists to engage key stakeholders in identifying community needs and supporting WYFS in developing and implementing programs and services for at-risk youth and their families.
Requirements: Bilingual (Spanish & English) required. MSW or MA in a related field required, LCSW preferred. Previous case management and community collaboration experience required. Demonstrated skill in assessment, engagement and collaborative problem solving with clients. Knowledge of public systems and resources. Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of low-income and culturally diverse populations. Proficiency in MS Word & Excel. Strong organizational and communication skills. Mission-driven with a desire to collaborate with others to best meet the needs of clients. Valid Illinois driver’s license, good driving record and reliable vehicle. A Commitment to Outreach’s Statement of Mission and Faith required.
Status: Full-time, Monday-Friday, daytime hours with 1-2 evenings a week to meet client and program needs. Occasional Saturday work for community events or activities.
Compensation: Annual salary for this position falls between $50,000-$55,000 based on licensure, education, language ability and skills. Full-benefits package included.
