What We’re Building & Your Role
With support from committed new investors, New Sector is enthusiastically entering the mental health and wellness space. We plan to join the movement to address the extensive unmet mental health and wellness needs within the nonprofit workforce and our society at large. As a first step, we will design and offer a hybrid (in-person and virtual) fellowship program to support nonprofit frontline leaders serving vulnerable or historically marginalized communities. The program will provide a 6-9 month experience for a cohort of 12 participants. The program will be designed to have a high-touch impact on individual pilot program participants while simultaneously (and/or later) leveraging technology and other resources to have a large-scale impact on a much broader population.

The program content will be partly based on a New Sector project called Designing Your Success, first piloted in 2019 in collaboration with Stanford and Accenture. Modeled after the popular Stanford course series Designing Your Life, DYS is a ten-module series based on research-based pedagogy and design thinking curricula that empowers people to navigate the future of work in sustainable ways. It is delivered by New Sector over several months in sessions of 60-90 minutes each.

The original version of the program needs your expertise to add best-in-class mental health and wellness content. This program is grant-funded with plans to renew for up to five years, to include several cohorts and the opportunity to refine program offerings and educational modules over time. We are seeking a candidate who is able to jump in confidently, committed to improving alongside the team, and eager to bring new ideas and critical thinking to the table.

Support evaluation of the program as it is delivered; refine program materials to support the cohort’s specific needs, and after each cohort based on participant feedback
