Title: Senior Director of Training and Clinical Development
Program: Clinical Practice Program Description:
Reporting to the Chief Housing and Shelter Officer, the Senior Director of Training and Clinical Development will provide training and support to staff at Project Renewal Inc. This position requires a professional with outstanding clinical and management skills, a capacity to work with and effectively lead people, and significant experience working in supervisory positions in the field of training and staff development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential duties of the Senior Director of Training and Clinical Development include but are not limited to the following activities:
• Conduct training needs assessment in consultation with Director of Human Resources, Chief Housing and Shelter Officer, Senior Management, and Program Directors
• Administer overall training program design in conjunction with staff training needs
• Develop and implement a monthly calendar of staff training courses
• Supervise Coordinator of Trauma Debriefing and Crisis Management
• Oversee graduate clinical internship placements for social work and mental health counseling students
• Attend meetings, complete reports, communicate and work cooperatively with all of above Senior Leadership and Program Leadership
• Facilitate case conferences to discuss complex clients with program staff
• Monitor training compliance with relevant regulations
• Interface with community providers, professional associations and other agencies as necessary and appropriate
• Oversee monthly grand rounds in conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer
• Provide monthly statistical reports on utilization of training services to Performance Evaluation and Quality Assurance Department
• Consult with Executive Staff on program development and clinical programming
Qualifications:
• Minimum Master’s degree in social work, counseling, education, or other related field. Clinical license preferred (e.g., LMSW, LCSW, LMHC)
• Minimum of 5 years full-time direct clinical experience with addictions and/or mental health services.
• Experience with staff development and training
• Experience with curriculum development
• Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams and Zoom
• Flexibility to provide trainings, as needed, after normal business hours and on weekends
