Airport Marina Counseling Service (AMCS), a non-profit, community-based mental health clinic, has a position available for a part-time supervisor. The position averages about 3-4 hours per week. Supervisors also attend a monthly staff meeting the first Wednesday of the month from 12-2pm and assist with interviews. The applicant must meet credentials for clinical supervision of MFT trainees/interns and/or doctoral practicum students and interns for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the Board of Psychology.
All supervisors are responsible for reviewing progress notes and summary treatment reports as well as conducting performance evaluations with each trainee/intern. All duties are performed remotely until further notice.
•        Child & Family Track Supervisor:
(Psychologist/MFT/LCSW) specializing in Child & Family Therapy to provide group supervision for the Family and Child Training Track.

Responsibilities include providing group supervision focused on working with families, didactic training of interns regarding how to work with families and the specific legal, ethical and clinical issues that arise when working with children and families, reviewing reports, and assigning family clients to work with therapists.

•        Supervisor for pre-licensed therapists facilitating groups on a Sunday: (Psychologist/MFT/LCSW) specializing in the understanding and implementation group therapy and group dynamics.

Responsibilities include providing group supervision to pre-licensed therapists that facilitate groups. Duties include developing, implementing, and maintaining a training curriculum for the therapists focusing on group facilitation and group dynamics, encouraging development of new groups to meet the needs of the client community, facilitating the development and implementation of the marketing plan to promote group therapy participation, advising and mentoring therapists on best practices in group therapy including the facilitation of various types of groups. The supervisor will also be responsible for administrative duties including monitoring group files to ensure proper records and documentation are maintained in accordance with clinic policy and all ethical and legal standards.
Pay is commensurate with non-profit community clinics.
