Under the supervision of the Agency CEO, the Clinical Director will perform the full range of assignments related to the field of mental health support services. The Clinical Director will provide staff support and assist with program development. The Clinical Director will have knowledge of and the ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations as well as knowledge of the program requirements. The Clinical Director will provide direct supervision to the staff, interns, and volunteers. The Clinical Director is expected to perform her/his duties in alignment with the vision and values of LightHouse Social Service Centers. The Clinical Director serves as a role model and provide consistent, clear leadership reflecting the philosophy, goals and policies of the agency to all members of the staff and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for clinical program development, oversight and supervision.
Responsible for ensuring quality services through the development of new methodologies, training, individual and group supervision team meetings.
Develop Internship Program and supervise registered interns and trainees, including documentation requirements.
Responsible for development and implementation of formalized chart review and audit tools to review charts.
Supervise and monitor documentation to ensure that all documentation is timely, legible, accurate and in accordance with current regulatory statues, DMH Standards, and agency policies and procedures.
Builds and maintains relationships with community-bases mental health service providers, coordinating agencies and governmental agencies. Represents LightHouse in appropriate meetings and projects.
Assist clients and their families in understanding and choosing appropriate options of mental health care and treatment.
Establish and maintain effective contacts with local area mental health resources including community members, parents, schools, residential facilities, and other agencies/organizations.
Prepare reports and write correspondence.
Provide guidance to staff, interns, and volunteers.
Serves as a role model and provides consistent, clear leadership reflecting the philosophy, goals and policies of the agency to all members of the staff and clients.
Coordinate clinical decisions in response to operational demands.

Position Requirements:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LMFT, and/or psychologist in good standing with the Board of Examiners. Must maintain current license, CEU requirements, and clinical supervision certification.
A minimum of three years post license experience working with persons with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

Knowledge of mainstream benefits programs, case management principles and intervention techniques appropriate for hard-to-reach, difficult to serve populations are essential.
Experience with culturally diverse mental health with co-existing substance abuse diagnosis populations.
Able to work interdependently, constructively and effectively with others.
Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills; ability to work effectively with people
