Duties and Responsibilities: The Manager of Substance Use Services will be responsible for the oversight, program development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all program services.Responsible the performance and activities of all staff and program services. This includes providing regular supervision to program staff and assistance with crisis-related issues; facilitate open communication and regular team meetings.
Responsible for the overall management of contracts, certifications, and relationships with all funding sources including the Department of Public Health Substance Abuse Prevention and Control, Los Angeles County Office of Education, Department of Probation, all local school district partners, and other county department and community-based partners.
Monitor the agencys Drug Medi-cal program to ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards of the substance use field and with the QA standards of the LA County Department of Public Health Substance Abuse Prevention and Control and to ensure that services meet or exceed contract, funder, and agency standards.
Be responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation and expansion efforts of the current substance abuse services.
Be responsible for management of services at all HYC locations at various sites within the community.
Oversee training and cross training programs and ensure all associates are aware of and comply with company, government and customer regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and deadlines. Participate in training programs and webinars as required.
Attend all County Department and substance use program related external meetings (such as SAPC Prevention meetings, SAPC workgroups, etc.)
Represent the Agency in the Community by participating in collaborative, interagency coalitions, and community organizations to address critical issues related to promoting substance use services in Southeast Los Angeles County.
Provide oversight of all outreach efforts to promote all programs within the department.
Will be the central point of contact for the agency regarding programs services to the community.
Monitor the fulfillment of the contracts and be responsible for overall auditing of contracts, including accurate documentation of all service activities, preparation of periodic contract reports, and compliance with all contract requirements in accordance with Federal, State, County, City and agency guidelines.
