Description
Substance Abuse Service Specialist will work with individuals who are receiving services and are living and recovering from a psychiatric disability and/or substance abuse disorder. This role provides drug and/or alcohol abuse assessment, consultation, education for service recipients and staff. Meet with clients to provide counseling for individuals struggling with their recovery or addiction issues. Takes the lead in connecting service recipients with addiction treatment services. In this role, the the Substance Services Specialist will work mainly in the field meeting with clients and linking to community supports that provide addiction services.

Skills
Bachelors in Mental Health discipline or combination of education and work experience that is equivalent.
Valid Drivers' License is required.
Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) is strongly preferred. Working towards the certification will also be considered.
Excellent written and verbal skills, strong assessment skills and organizational skills are required.
Must have good judgement and the ability to manage crisis in a positive and supportive manner.

Sign-on Bonus: $1,000.00
