Description
The Family Service Bureau is a licensed outpatient mental health/substance abuse agency in Essex County. The Executive Director of the Family Services Bureau is responsible for the overall leadership, direction and coordination of Agency programs and activities, within the general policies as formulated by the Board and in accordance with the resources and Mission of the Agency.
Responsibilities:
•        Maintains acceptable standards of professional practice in the Agency, as prescribed by the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and the Codes of Ethics of his/her licensing Boards.
•        Keeps the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer and the Board informed of developments and trends in the Agency’s Operation and to be alert to changing community needs.
•        Directs, supervises and evaluates all Agency employees either directly or through designated, qualified supervisors and/or program directors.
•        Develops programming relevant to the various populations served.
•        Provides periodic reviews, evaluations, and modifications of programs to meet community needs.
•        Ensures the development, implementation and enforcement of all policies and procedures of licensing agencies and of client’s rights.
•        Develops and implements a formal quality assurance program.
•        Plans and administers the operational functioning of the agency including: management, personnel, fiscal, and reporting requirements of the agency programs.
•        Identifies the priority populations and ensures the development of programs and outreach to these underserved groups.
•        Prepares the Agency budget and ensure implementation


Skills
Qualifications & Experience:
•        Master’s Degree
•        Must possess one of the following licenses in the state of NJ: Licensed Clinical Social Worker; Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor of New Jersey
•        At least 10 years of professional-related experience in the field; included should be at least five years of supervisory and administrative responsibility.
•        Knowledge of grant writing and budget management is required
