Under the supervision of the director, help eligible families to enroll for child care subsidies; assist parents (with both initial enrollments and re-certifications) in the completion of applications (electronically, via fax, mail, etc.); collect supporting documentation (including but not limited to paystubs, other employment related documentation, birth certificates, proof of NYC residency, etc.); tabulate income; verify eligibility; calculate parent co-payments; review child care vouchers and other child care related paperwork; track status of applications; maintain required paperwork in parent charts (manual and/or electronic) including on-going case notes; maintain regular communication with parents by telephone and email; trouble shoot on behalf of parents and child care providers; provide case management services; assist in the maintenance of data base; process child care modality transfers; review charts for closure; as necessary, assist in pre-screening applicants for presumptive eligibility; assist with quality control; keep abreast of child care regulations, rules and operating procedures as defined by NYC ACS; as necessary, provide information on how to apply for services directly with NYC ACS.
In coordination with other program staff, assist in the development of outreach services; work in collaboration with employers, labor organizations, and community-based-based organizations to conduct targeted outreach at child care fairs, worksites, and other areas parents frequent to inform potential applicants about the program and the availability of child care assistance; prepare and distribute outreach packets and answer questions/inquiries; inform parents about child care options in NYC.

Strong computer (MS Word, Excel, internet navigation web-based operations), communication (oral and written), organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be detail oriented, a team player, adapt quickly to change and work well under pressure. Bi-lingual Spanish/English candidates preferred.

Some flexibility with hours; position will require s hybrid model of in-office hours and working from home.
