We are temporarily offering a signing bonus for this position of $3,000.

The residential substance use disorder (SUD) program is contracted with Department of Public Health’s (DPH) Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) program for residential drug Medi-Cal (DMC) services for up to 99 adult men and women: 33 that are for men who are judicially involved, 33 for men, and 33 for women. The BHC’s residential DMC program employs 100 people and works closely with the other BHC programs to provide a continuum of services for low income/Medi-Cal population.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership Responsibilitites:

    Understands Prototypes’ strategic vision and finds ways to implement and execute the vision at the treatment services level.
    Ensures that all program development plans and activities are executed in keeping with the organization’s values, mission, vision and strategy.
    Responsible for all facility related matters to ensure that program(s) operate efficiently and safely including writing policy and procedure to support best practice.
    Develops and maintains policies and procedures as it relates to day-to-day program operations in collaboration with QI and EHR staff.

Clinical Oversite Responsibilities:

    Responsible for setting and guiding clinical strategies and treatment philosophy for Prototypes direct service providers, including but not limited to employing a “whatever it takes” mentality.
    Ensures that all supervisors and direct service staff provide strengths based, trauma informed, and culturally competent services.

People Management Responsibilities:

    Communicates and trains direct reports and clinical staff on HealthRIGHT 360 policies, procedures and position expectations and performance goals.
    Provides staff goals and expectations and drives the goal review process, including ensuring that employee evaluations are completed in a timely manner.
    Responsible for providing direct supervision, training, and guidance to the Clinical Managers and other direct reports.
    Identifies the direct reports strengths and weaknesses and strives to develop each direct report to their fullest potential.
    Assists direct reports in defining career goals and creates opportunities for development.

Financial Oversite Responsibilities:

    Monitor’s program budgets and facilitates response to ensure utilization.
    Manages utilization at both a staff level (productivity) and contract level to ensure contracts are maximized and clients receive necessary services.

Education Requirements

    Must be a LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or PsyD with license through Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or the California Board of Psychology (CBP), and in good standing.

Must have provided SUD treatment services for at least three years; at least two years of which must be spent in a management or supervisory capacity.
    Experience with efficient and effective treatment and management of clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
    Knowledge of and experience with providing trauma informed services.
    Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Background Clearance Required:

    Live Scan clearance.
    Must not be on parole or probation for a minimum of two years.
