Assistant Director, Adult Day Services.
Salary: $61,500
The Arc of Union County, Inc. is a non-profit, 501c(3) organization headquartered in Springfield, NJ, dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc serves more than 1,000 adults and children each month from the 21 towns in Union County, as well as the greater Northern and Central NJ counties.
Summary: Responsible Overall management and supervision of assigned adult day programs, providing programmatic direction and leadership to all assigned programs. Responsible for assembling staffing teams, assuring the development of staff competencies and directly supervise supervisors, and other agency personnel as assigned or required. Responsible for staff evaluations and personnel actions. Assuring Day programs are maintained in acceptable practice and appropriate conditions at all times for full Day Habilitation Certification full accreditation by CARF, etc.
Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in Windows software, Ability to use a data entry software such as Therap, Ability to make managerial decisions and taking action; ability to utilize spreadsheets, audit invoices, submit invoices, review expense reports and understand and apply matrices for service recipient attendance, roster management, revenue, staffing ratios, and work force/staffing management relative to budget; knowledgeable of Fee for Service model system. Position requires excellent interpersonal and conceptual skills, strong management, leadership, planning and communication skills; knowledgeable on staffing function and employment related legislations; Minimum of three years’ experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, managing a Day Habilitation facility serving individuals with intellectual disabilities and supervisory responsibilities with proven success encompassing all areas above. Minimum 5 years of successful middle level to upper management supervisory, programmatic, operations and administrative experience required. Bachelor Degree required in related field; Master preferred. Thorough knowledge of all DDD, CMS, CARF, Adult Day Habilitation Certifications, Prevocational Programming and other external regulations and requirements. Demonstrate strong management, leadership, planning and communication skills. Ability to manage information effectively; Demonstrated ability to thrive and perform in an ever-changing, fast paced and demanding environment.
