Job Summary: Full-Time Handyman/Handywoman for mental health residences located in Manhattan and the Bronx.

2950 Grand Concourse Residence (Bronx) Sunday-Thursday, 9am to 5pm
86th Street Residence (Manhattan) Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm
LaSalle Residence (Manhattan) Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm
Washington Residence (Bronx) Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm
Essential Functions: Responsible for building safety & maintenance, including small repairs, plumbing and carpentry as well as working with outside vendors. This position operates in an agency Residential Facility and requires entry into resident apartments and mechanical rooms. The position utilizes routine power tools and building equipment such as boilers, HVAC, PTAC, etc. The position requires the handling of chemicals and bio-hazardous materials, which may require the use of protective gear such as gloves, goggles, or Tyvek suits.
Minimum Education/Requirements: Must have required NYC licenses and/or certifications (boiler, standpipe, public safety, fire safety director) or obtain them within six months. Must have knowledge of routine power tools and cleaning equipment.
1. Undergo background clearances prior to employment including fingerprinting with New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, State Central Registry (SCR) clearance, the Staff Exclusion List (SEL), and K-checks Exclusion Management.
2. Ability to maintain clearances throughout the duration of employment.
3. COVID-19 vaccination required.
Rate of Pay: $20.33-21.43/hour (varies by building)
