Job Summary: Full-Time Vocational Specialist to provide wellness clinical services, focus and assess job readiness for all ACT clients, provide placement assistance and job counseling for those determined to be job ready. The Vocational Specialist assists with any barriers to obtaining employment, and provides assistance through all phases of vocational services. Services are provided both individually and in group settings. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. No night or weekend hours. Position is currently a hybrid model of remote work, as well as office and client home visits.
Essential Functions: Experience in vocational/employment counseling. This position will provide integrated care and transition assistance to individuals and family members on an interdisciplinary team serving 68 adults diagnosed with serious mental illness. Position involves significant fieldwork and home visits. Must be detail oriented, have excellent communication skills and be able to document in an electronic health record.
Minimum Education/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, preferred candidate has a Master’s Degree in the Human Services field.
1. Undergo background clearances prior to employment including fingerprinting with New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, State Central Registry (SCR) clearance, the Staff Exclusion List (SEL), and K-checks Exclusion Management.
2. Ability to maintain clearances throughout the duration of employment.
3. COVID-19 vaccination required.
Salary Range: $45,000-49,000 annually (commensurate with licensure and experience)
