Job Summary: Full-Time Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Administrative Assistant to work at an out-patient integrated OASAS/OMH Clinic. The candidate will be responsible for scheduling, billing, insurance verification, answer and outreach calls, check- clients in and out, manage front desk, update office files, other office clerical work. Administrative Assistant designs and implement office policies, evaluates outcome and makes necessary changes to meet the identified standards. Schedule Available: 35-hour work week including some evenings & weekends. Clinic Hours: Monday, 9am to 5pm; Tuesday-Thursday, 9am to 8pm; Friday-Saturday, 9am to 3pm.
Essential Functions: This position operates in the Bronx Clinic. The position uses standardized office equipment such as phones, computers, fax machines, and copiers. Must have strong organizational and excellent communication skills. The ability to multi-task and shift between responsibilities. Work effectively with others and maintain positive professional relationships with clients, staff and other service providers in the community.
Rate of Pay: $19.00/hour
Minimum Education/Requirements: H.S. degree/GED and experience working with the target population as part of mental health team required.
1. Undergo background clearances prior to employment including fingerprinting with New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, State Central Registry (SCR) clearance, the Staff Exclusion List (SEL), and K-checks Exclusion Management.
2. Ability to maintain clearances throughout the duration of employment.
