The IPS Supervisor position is seeking a master's level applicant who will lead the Intensive Placement Stabilization program in the Cook County areas. The IPS program provides community-based trauma education, counseling, support, and stabilization services to children and youth in the foster care system ages 0 -21 and their families. The supervisor will provide support to case managers and therapists who provide these services.
Education: Master's Degree in Counseling, Mental Health or Human Services related field
Experience: 1-3 years of progressive responsibility related to social services
Other: Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record with OHU required levels of coverage for auto insurance
This position will oversee the organization and department needs for IPS staff and program.
The candidate is expected to be trauma-informed. Preferred experience with evidence-based practices of ARC and SPARCS.
Additional Duties will include outreach with inter-agencies, engagement with stakeholders, on-call duties, and managing program performance. The position will include oversight of other crisis programs within the agency as needed.
Monday -Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and on-call duties
Reviews intake information of clients referred for services and determines if the referral will be accepted
Oversees case responsibilities and provides guidance in case planning
Staffs all cases with appropriate staff weekly or less frequently if warranted
Provides supervision to professional and para-professional staff on therapeutic approaches with clients
Reviews all written documents generated by staff
Attends court hearings, case reviews, staffing, and meetings as needed
