We are currently seeking dynamic Family Specialist to join our ACT Team in Brooklyn.
In this role you will:
The Family Specialist will provide compassionate, recovery based, and trauma informed services that are in line with the traditional practice framework. Family Specialist engages in discussions and activities based on collaboration and uses assertive engagement strategies to engage individuals in services.
What qualifications do you need:
NYS LMSW, LMFT, LMHC or a Mental Health Practitioner with a Limited Permit within 90 days of employment.
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Family Therapy Counseling.
Must have at least one experience working in a community- based setting with adolescents and/or adults experiencing a co-occurring Substance Use Disorder and Mental Illness.
Extensive knowledge of harm reduction and a commitment to providing services to individuals in various stages of their recovery.
