Description Collaborative Support Programs of NJ (CSPNJ), a behavioral health nonprofit organization that is peer led, seeks Mental Health Support Worker based in Eatontown, NJ. Full-time positions with M-F day hours. Mental Health Support Workers will work with individuals who are receiving services and are living and recovering from a psychiatric disability and/or substance abuse disorder. This is an entry level position and a great opportunity for individuals seeking to gain experience in Mental Health and Rehabilitation services field.
Qualifications: Bachelors in Mental Health discipline -OR- any combination of education and or work experience that is equivalent is required. For example, HS diploma + 4 years full-time working with individuals that have a psychiatric disability in a residential setting. Valid NJ Drivers' License is required. Excellent written and verbal skills, strong assessment skills and organizational skills are required. Must have good judgement and the ability to manage crisis in a positive and supportive manner. Moderate computer skills or the ability to proficiently use various cloud based programs to track and enter daily notes.
