The Clinical Supervisor is the Team Leader for the Shelter Plus Care case management team. Under supervision, the Clinical Supervisor will oversee and provide flexible supportive services to program participants to help them secure and retain housing in the community. Other responsibilities include direct day-to-day supervisory operations of the team, administrative duties, provide outreach, mental health assessments, screening for eligibility, development of coordinated service plans, preparation of reports and case notes. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for data entry into the Countywide Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). The Clinical Supervisor will represent the agency at the Coordinated Entry case conference meeting, Marin County’s Health & Human Services contractor meetings and other community committees to support the efforts of ending homelessness.
The Shelter Plus Care Program is intended to help participants achieve three overall goals: residential stability, increased skill levels and/or incomes, and greater self-determination. Services are delivered through an assertive case management team and housing first model. Through the coordination of services and partnerships with local agencies, participating residents will receive help in obtaining needed supportive services such as mental health services, childcare, educational or vocational counseling, educational, assistance to maintain benefits through Medical, SSI and SS.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Considerable knowledge of principles and techniques of engaging homeless mentally ill people.
• Solid understanding of issues relating to independent living with support services for special needs populations.
• Knowledge of the principles, procedures and techniques, trends and literature relating to the mental health field.
• Good understanding of public assistance and social service programs.
• Experience with DSMV and case note software.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clinician supervision and day-to-day leadership to a diverse staff who possess a wide range of skills and community knowledge.
EDUCATION AND EPERIENCE
License as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Marriage, Family Therapist (LMFT) is required. Additionally, two years post licensing experience preferred. Previous professional social casework experience, including crisis intervention and extensive experience working with the Shelter Plus Care target population (i.e., homeless people who have a serious mental illness, and may also have substance addictions and/or be HIV+ or have AIDS) also preferred.

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS
Annual salary range $72,504-$92,536. Our comprehensive benefits package includes a generous monthly allowance for medical, dental and life insurance; CalPERS retirement 2% @ 62; a 457 deferred compensation plan; 12 paid sick days per year; 10 days paid annual leave per year for the first two years; and 13 paid holidays plus 5 floating holidays.
