Catholic Charities, one of New York’s most prominent nonprofit organization is currently seeking a Resident Support/Social Worker. The Resident Support/Social Worker will be responsible for assisting Social Services program at Grand Street Guild with case management services for the residents. This position will report to the Community and Social Services Director. This position will work closely with CCCS staff, residents, building management, and other stakeholders to foster a safe and healthy living environment for residents, help strengthen a sense of community engagement, and ensure that the missions of the Grand Street Guild and Catholic Charities are upheld in all aspects of service delivery. This position will play a key role in addressing a variety of social issues and help Grand Street Guild residents navigate crises.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•        Provide residents of Grand Street Guild with case management services, information and referrals, and resources that will help alleviate housing and/or family crisis.
•        Coordinate with building management on severe maintenance issues and rental arrears.
•        Conduct Outreach, Needs Assessments, and related surveying.
•        Refer residents to special on-site and community-based programs.
•        Inform the CC programming team on shaping programs based on resident need.
•        Maintain current and accurate documentation of services provided to clients.
•        Conduct educational and/or supportive groups.

Education and/or experience required:
•        LMSW a plus
•        Bilingual English/Spanish or Chinese (Fujianese/Mandarin or Fujianese/Cantonese) required.
•        Experience with social service delivery systems/servicestargeted at underserved groups, including minority and Immigrant communities.
•        Knowledge of affordable housing policies, compliance, and tenants rights and responsibilities.
•        Knowledge of NORC models.
•        Demonstrated proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Office and
