Seneca's Mobile Response Teams support families in serious distress with immediate crisis intervention and mental health services. The teams travel to wherever the youth and family may be in the community, in order to provide effective intervention at the height of the crisis. The Crisis Response Social Worker for Youth and Families provides family-based mental health counseling, therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services to children and families. Crisis Response Social Workers are members of a treatment team and provide services at the program site and in the community, including hospitals, schools, and family homes.

  • Serve as the clinical lead and work with the treatment team to provide crisis intervention and other mental health services as needed at Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES), in client homes, and in the community.
  • Provide counseling, therapy, and case management services to ensure the successful transition of clients and their families to community-based resources.
  • Assist with planning for transportation arrangements for school, therapy appointments, and court hearings.
  • Participate in weekly supervision with the program supervisor or designee.
  • Provide crisis intervention for students, using de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts


  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work required.
  • Eligible to register with the California BBS.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English abilities a plus!
  • Own vehicle, California driver’s license and auto insurance.


  • Full-Time
  • Participate in On-Call Crisis Response shifts on a rotating basis.


  • Starting at $62,500 annually, commensurate with experience + 10% salary increase upon passing Spanish language proficiency exam
  • Additional $4000 salary increase for BBS licensure
  • Annual performance evaluations provide the potential for a generous salary increase each year
