When: Saturday, June 12, 8:30 to 4:00 (register for a 2-hour time slot)
Where: Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, 4190 Aumsville Hwy SE, Salem, OR
Who: Anyone age 21 or older who is interested in working with teens and young adults, particularly those from marginalized populations. These are entry-level Group Life Coordinator (GLC) positions at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility for people interested in behavioral science, social work, counseling, criminal justice, or other areas working with youth people. We’re especially looking for people of color, women, and others from historically under-served communities.
What: Group Life Coordinator positions - $3,345 monthly with overtime available and great benefits!
How the Event Works:
1. Register for a time slot. This event is free, but you must register in advance via Eventbrite. Choose a specific time slot to help us get you through everything quicker and to help with COVID-19 safety precautions.
2. Apply for the job. After you have registered for the event, submit a job application at this link: http://bit.ly/GLCOYA. If possible, please turn in your application before the day of the event. If you’re unable to do the application in advance, or if you’d like assistance, we will have computers set up at the event.
3. Show up at your registered time on June 12. At the event, you will go through multiple stations. You should expect to take about 2 hours to complete everything.

Paperwork: Fill out pre-employment paperwork. You will need to know your Social Security Number and driver’s license number.
Group Interviews: You will go through a small group job interview with representatives of MacLaren and Oregon Youth Authority.
