York Community Resource Center is a developing neighborhood resource center serving Lombard and Villa Park that provides supportive services to modest-income and culturally diverse residents. Services include information and referral, after-school and
summer school programs for children and youth and community development activities.
The Site Director will be responsible for the development of community relationships, leading a 5-member staff team and oversight for the day-to-day operations of York Center. Responsibilities include community engagement and leadership; planning;
church relations; program management, the development of new programming, staff, intern and volunteer management, team building, financial management, grant management, facility management and the coordination of services between programs.
The Site Director will have some direct service responsibilities.
The Site Director will report to the Senior Program Officer for Neighborhood Services, participate as a member of OCM’s management team, and represent programs to the developing York Community Board.
Requirements: A passion for community-based service work; desire to invest in growth and expansion of services; Bilingual (Spanish/English); demonstrated leadership ability and effective communication and organizational skills. Master’s Degree in Social Work (preferred), Human Services or Education with 5 years direct service experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 7 years direct service experience; at least 3 years of administrative and staff management experience; proficiency in MS Word/Outlook/Excel; sensitivity to the needs of modest-income, high-risk families from culturally diverse backgrounds. Current IL driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation, and good driving. A commitment to OCM’s Statement of Mission and Faith.
Status: Full-time management position with evening and weekend commitments.
Compensation: Annual salary for this position falls between $57,000-$65,000 based on education, skills,
experience, and language ability.
