The VP is the clinical administrator for the Foster Care Article 29-I Health Facility. The VP will provide overall direction, leadership, management, patient care, and strategic vision for the five core services. This includes the delivery and assurance of the quality of clinical care, program planning and development, and the promotion of health education to the foster care population. As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, the candidate will also be responsible for the provision, coordination, and assurance of comprehensive nursing care using nursing processes and pertinent standards of care, including diagnosis of illness and physical conditions, performance of therapeutic, corrective, and prescriptive measures to the population served.
The VP must have a master’s degree in nursing, NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse, and a National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in pediatrics. A minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience working with the Foster Care population and three years of related management experience.
